States covered : Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya,Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal (28 states). Mini Mission III: TARGET & STRATEGIES Target: To enhance seed collection of TBOs from 9 lakh tonnesto 14 lakh tonnes for edible and industrial uses Strategies: Mission is supporting expansion of cultivation of TBOs in watersheds and wastelands; increasing availability of quality planting materials; enhancing procurement, collection & processing inter cropping during gestation period, training of farmers/extension workers Funding Pattern: In bigger Statesin the ratio of 60:40 (Centre:State) and 90:10 (NE states & Hill area) between the Central and State Governments, except R & D projects and TRIFED which are 100%.

  6. RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (R&D) ON TBOS i. R&D programme on TBOs was implemented by National Oilseeds & Vegetable Oils Development (NOVOD) Boards from 2004-05 to 2014-15. ii. Support is being provided for need based R&D projects under MM-III of NMOOP from 2015-16 onwards on 100% funding basis .

  10. NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON OLIVE ACTION POINT Organized by SIAM at Raj Univ. Of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner on 18-22 March,2015 Consolidation of information on Olive production in India and its dissemination among all stakeholders with intimation to DAC. (Action-ROCL, SIAM & Indian Olive Association). Develop farmers friendly indigenous package of practices on Olive. (ICAR/SAU/ROCL). Information on possible areas of Olive cultivation backed by solid agro-ecological data. (Horticulture Division, ICAR) International conference on Olive. (ROCL/SIAM/ICAR/CAFRI). Support for need based adaptive research projects on Olive. (NMOOP, DAC&FW). Enhanced financial support for high value and future potential crops like Olive. (NMOOP, DAC&FW).

  11. NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON TBOS KEY RECOMMENDATIONS Organized at ICAR-CAFRI, Jhansi on October 15-16,2015 Exposure visits of extension functionaries and farmers of MM- III implementing states to ROCL, Rajasthan for replication in other TBOs. Identification of potential TBOs and their appropriate areas/districts/blocks in potential states. Organize TBO specific brain storming sessions in potential states. Active involvement of other line Deptts viz. Horticulture, Forestry, Rural Development etc. Assured procurement with incentives/MSP. Support for model nursery, multi-species plantation, bund plantation.
