EPDM TROUBLESHOOTING 1. Broken automatic/manual switch 2. PCB is broken 3. Fuse is broken
1.Broken automatic/manual switch First step is to open the motor compartment of the three- way-valve. This can be achieved by unscrewing the upperhandle and the 6 bolts in the lid of the box. How to do this is shown in this video: Youtube instruction video 3-Way valve: broken automatic or manual switch (part 1/2) Does your switch not work? Probably because this is broken. Simply replace the switch to fix it. Follow the instructions in the videos. The switch consists of 2 parts: 1) Left: switch at the outside of box 2) Switch on the inside
1.Broken automatic/manual switch Second step is to replace the switch itself. This is explained in the video. 1) Remove the PCB out of the box by unscrewing and disconnecting cable 2) Unscrew the motor 3) Unscrew the metal plate and take it out together with axis (this can be tricky) 4) Unscrew the switch and take it out 5) Put it back and carefully place the plastic part under the gear, so it can switch the gear easily. 6) Repeat these steps in reverse order to put everything back together. 2. PCB is broken and needs to be replaced 1) First step is to open the motor. This can be done by following the video on slide 3. 2) Second stop is to unscrew the printed circuit board just like in this video and disconnecting it from the electric cable Youtube instruction video PCB is broken and needs to be replaced The PCB can be bought as spare part via your dealer.
3. Fuse is broken on the PCB and needs to be replaced There are 2 fuses on the PCB. When one or both of them have melted down due to a high inrush current they can easily be fixed. Youtube instruction video 3-Way valve: Fuse is broken on the PCB and needs to be replaced This is done by unscrewing the lid and unscrewing the PCB. Then just replace the fuses. The fuses can be bought as spare parts via your dealer.
