  8. NSWMAs effectiveness was hampered by delays in the promulgation of regulations to support the NSWM Act. Priority sector strategies under Vision 2030 NDP to manage all forms of waste, yet to be achieved. Waste Waste NSWMA has not converted waste disposal sites into sanitary landfills to better manage waste. Management Management Framework Framework NSWMA was not monitoring the remaining lifespan of waste disposal sites for forward planning. Waste disposal sites operated by NSWMA not in compliance with environmental regulations.

  9. NSWMAs Waste management planning not effectively informed by recent waste generation studies. NSWMA does not have a system to accurately measure the volume of waste collected.
