FALL 2021 MOVE-IN INFORMATION
FALL 2021 MOVE-IN GROUPS Sunday, August 8: - Band leaders, drum core & color guard - Cheer/Showgirls - Cross Country athletes - Work Week Women Saturday, August 14: - Band members - Community Scholars - Frog Camp (Challenge) - Orientation (Session 13 & Transfer C) - ROTC - Sorority Recruitment participants (PNMs) Wednesday, August 18: - First-year students - Returning students Saturday, August 21: - Fraternity chapter residents - Any remaining students - International students: you will receive a separate email in your TCU inbox about your move-in date. Arrivals cannot be accommodated outside of these dates! Students will be sent a specific check-in timeslot for their move-in day to their TCU email account!
FALL 2021 MOVE-IN DETAILS Dates: August 14 or 18 Arrivals cannot be accommodated outside of these dates. Time: Students will be emailed a specific check-in timeslot for their move-in day to know the exact window of time they can arrive to get their room key and have their TCU ID card activated for residence hall access. Once they check-in, they are free to move their items in any time after that. Location: The move-in process will begin in Lot 4 at the north end of Amon G. Carter Stadium. GrandMarc and Village East residents will go directly to their leasing office for move-in. Check-In Process: Students will remain in their vehicle at the entrance of Lot 4 and then be moved to Lot 3 to have their TCU ID card activated. They will then receive a 15-minute unloading pass to park near their residence hall to unload. Once their car is unloaded, it must be moved to an approved lot. Vehicles will NOT be allowed in unloading area without this unloading pass. Returning students must present their TCU ID card at check-in. Moving/Storage Vendors: Students who used Campus Crates, College Truckers or Dorm Room Movers must contact them to have deliveries made after they have moved into their room. Check-In timeslots will not be changed to accommodate a delivery. Academic Year Parking Permit: From 8:00am-4:00pm on each move-in day, TCU Police will be setup in the Schollmaier Arena for students to pick up their academic year parking permit. Questions? FALL 2021 MOVE-IN FAQs Can I change my move-in timeslot? Yes, students can change their move-in timeslot via their housing portal, pending availability. (Specific instructions and more details about this will be sent to your TCU email with your move-in timeslot.) My move-in timeslot is from 8:00am-9:00am. Do I only get one hour to move into my room? No, the timeslot is the exact window of time you need to arrive to pick up your room key and get your ID Card activated for your residence hall. You can move your items in at your leisure once you ve gotten your room key. Can family/friends help students move-in? Yes, family/friends can help students move their belongings into the residence hall. Do I have to bring my TCU ID card to move-in? If you are a returning TCU student, you must have your TCU ID card for move-in. If you are a new student, you will be given your TCU ID card during the move-in process. Do I have to get the COVID-19 vaccine before move-in? No, TCU is not requiring the COVID-19 vaccine; however, students are encouraged to get the vaccination if possible. Are masks required for move-in? For fully vaccinated students/guests, no a mask is not required. For unvaccinated students/guests 12 years and older, yes a mask is required in our halls. Will I have to quarantine when I arrive on-campus? No, TCU will not require students to quarantine. Please plan your travel based on your specific move-in timeslot/day. Will moving carts be available in the residence halls? Yes, limited supplies will be available at the front desk of the residence halls.
