  3. Voluntary No dues or fees Don t charge for events donations, 7thtradition Digital contributions ok virtual basket Avoid excess fund Prudent reserve how much is group conscience decision Often 1-3 months of operating expenses CONTRIBUTIONS

  4. Checks and balance Transparency - monthly reports at business meeting Hardcopies or pass around copies to review INCIDENT: Notify group Discuss at meeting. Take group conscience on actions Consider ad hoc committee to address SAFEGUARD FUNDS

  5. Individuals - $5,000, Must be an AA member Contributions in wills - $10,000; must be an AA member Accept no outside contributions Do not provide financial support to outside organization (e.g., Alano Club) We can reimburse service workers (e.g. interpreters) Generally, 7thtradition contributions are not used for social events (pot luck). Some groups pass a 2ndbasket. LIMITS ON CONTRIBUTIONS AND EXPENSES

  6. Cannot use the tax ID number of the Area, Central Office or the General Service Office Districts check with the Area if you need an insurance certificate to rent space for an event (e.g. workshop) Groups - check with your central office if you need an insurance certificate to rent space for an event (e.g. workshop) MISCELLANEOUS
