7. KNOCKOUT TROPHY 2016-17 Product Details Champion Rob Morgan This was the most complicated competition ever organised! Injuries forced both David & Iain to withdraw, leaving Rob & Simon to fight out an entertaining final just prior to the AGM in May. Runner-up Simon Langley Semi-Finalists - David Millard - Iain Massey

8. 2016-17 KNOCKOUT TROPHY This is the longer version . In the quarter-final draw, Rob Morgan receives a bye as Jamie Johnstone ruptures his knee ligaments playing football. In the semi-final draw, Rob receives another bye as Iain Massey twists his ankle playing football (something of a trend). David Millard wins his semi-final against Simon Langley but then withdraws with a quad injury. Therefore final contested between Rob & Simon .

9. 2017 CORNHILL PLATE COMPETITION INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST ROUND LOSERS OF THE KNOCKOUT TROPHY This new competition also suffered from injuries & associated byes. Champion James Fenton James & Terry fought out an excellent final with James taking the trophy home for the next 12 months. Runner-up Terry Cattle Semi-Finalists - Simon Heath Tim managed to reach the semi-finals without playing a game! - Tim Freed

11. Product Details 2017 SUMMER LEAGUE PODIUM James, off a handicap of 3, won 12 of his 16 games to secure the title for the second time. Champion James Fenton Rob pushed hard all the way off a handicap of 2, ultimately losing out by two points. Runner-up Rob Morgan David & Simon could not be separated in 3rd place & share the spoils 8 points behind the Champion 3rd Place - David Mellor - Simon Langley

16. 2017 CORNHILL STAR AWARD SOME OF THE COMMENTS . James quietly and efficiently goes about keeping our finances on the straight and narrow,makes a very positive contribution to the Club and is an all round, good bloke too. James helped with key change, helped with my stupidity when booking a court in error and refunded my money and found a cleaner without having to search elsewhere. Always plays in a good spirit and friendly competitiveness. James supports our club with true professionalism, producing financial reports that are understandable, even for the numerically disadvantaged. I just wish he would not hit the ball so hard though .!
