ERASMUS+ apply for studying at a partner university (four options) minimally 3 months, maximally 12 months university committee picks students for free spots ~ 150 - 420 per month English certificate not required for application at IKW (only after nomination during registration at partner university) find a list of our ERASMUS-partnerships on the institute website
University Partnerships apply for studying at a partner university minimally 3 months, maximally 12 months university committee picks students for free spots don t need to pay study fees, but no extra funding apply for funding (PROMOS-program, mobility grants, scholarships) language certificate necessary portal of university partnerships on the website of the international office
Fulbright Study Scholarship prerequisite: bachelor s degree or finished 6 semester studying 4 to 9 months at US American university (self organized) get up to 34,500USD for living & partial study-fees + 600 utilities insurance, visa, booking and financing of travel multiple workshops & seminars more information on the Fulbright website
Fulbright Travel Stipend bachelor students that finished at least 4 semesters 4 - 9 months studying at US American university (self organized) not combinable with other (travel) stipends travel- & utilities grant: 2.000 obligatory preparation- & networking meeting in March 2020 more information on the Fulbright website

DAAD RISE worldwide research internships at universities worldwide (website) full scholarship reimbursement of travel costs insurance three applications possible
MITACS globalink DAAD s Canadian partner application through MITACS (website); starts as early as August stipend provided by DAAD and MITACS (~ 800 - 1.000 per month) generally same stipend as DAAD worldwide no work permit required anymore for internships in Canada min. requirement: average grade 2.9 start of internship: May 1st - July 15th (latest date for German students) RISE: 2 applications + MITACS: 7 applications Note: it seems RISE applications will be rejected if the applicant rejects a MITACS place after being accepted
Research Internship @ Okinawa Institute of Science (OIST) Japanese island between Japan & Taiwan topics in neurobiology, biochemistry, neuroinformatics, machine learning,... duration: 2 to 6 months, typically 10 to 12 weeks flexible start and end dates living allowance 2,400 JPY ~20 per day commuting and accommodation support travel cost reimbursement website
