The project aims to reduce vulnerability to climate change impacts in targeted Fijian communities by strengthening coastal ecosystem services, protection, and food security. Key components include mangrove protection, community-based adaptation, and policy integration within national frameworks to enhance resilience and safeguard long-term well-being. Local capacity building and proactive measures are integral to reducing vulnerability and enhancing adaptive strategies in Ba and Macuata provinces.

Building blocks of this project Local capacity building Community based adaptation Enhanced local awareness Objective 2: Vulnerability to CC impacts against coastal mangrove forests, including associated marine inshore areas in Ba and Macuata province, are progressively being reduced through strengthened management of networks of LMMA through community based natural resource management plans & active community adaptation implementation.
