  4. WHAT IS AN INTERVIEW? An interview, in a very broad sense, is a conversation between two or more people where the interviewer attempts to elicit information from the interviewee That Information is of knowledge, aptitude, attitude, team working abilities, open to learn, decision making abilities, communication skills, time management skills by the employers for anyone who deems himself/ herself eligible for the saidposition.

Rememberto carry some stationary likeblue and black ball pen, pencils,eraser sharpener (if the job descriptioncalls for it) a notebook Research about the organization (use social mediato evenspeak withexisting employees there) the kinds of works undertaken, processes adopted, Utilizetimeand preparewellon the technical aspects and some of the basic technical questions withrespectto your fieldof expertise Be Punctual- manage your timewell keepingtraffic and extra components in mind and be on time. Visit the interviewcentre a dayprior to the interviewto get a realistic timetakento reach the venue timely. Dress Appropriately-it maynot be always a good idea to dress formally,but certainly you must be presentable and appropriatelydressed and too bling.

Always carry at least 2 copies of Resume highlighting your education, achievements, skill sets, previous professional experience highlighting efficiency and dedication. Contenttofillintothe ResumeorCV Ensure that you have curricular, co curricular and extra curricular projects and works to your credit that have also been added along with academics. Remembertoprepare forthebasicquestions You have to market yourself for the said job. Ensure that you have prepared the basic questions that are expected to be asked, like What skills do you poses? Why are you the best candidate for this position? What are your weaknesses and strengths? Doyourresearchaboutthe organization The more specific your study is, the better. You can even talk about the practices that you liked in the said organizationif and when given an opportunity. Afew of the ways of doing this is by browsing the company website, reviews, current employees, social profiles, etc.

  16. Practiceyourinterview Ensure that you have practiced your interview a few times before appearing for the actual one. While doing so you may notice the way 1) The attire or the way you dress, 2) Your body language and gestures 3) Remain cool & confident, 4) The wayyou greet others. Once you are seated, start on a positive note by thanking them for the opportunity and a bit about the company. BeCreativeand setrealisticexpectations. Try to remain enthusiastic about the role.
