Role: Covid-19 Vaccine Action Command & Coordination System (VACCS)Center The Washington Covid-19 Vaccine Action Command and Coordination System (VACCS) Center has been established to support comprehensive access to mass vaccinations across the state of Washington in the safest, fastest, most equitable and efficient means possible. Through Public- Private partnerships the Center supports the Department of Health by innovating and delivering solutions that address this critical need for and with our community. All Public- Private partnership efforts are strictly on a volunteer basis, compliant with Washington State and Department of Health guidelines and will serve under the direction of Washington State and Department of Health. Mass Immunization Goal: Achieve Herd Immunity WA Immediate Goal:45k Per Day Minimum

VACCS Center Structure Technology & Data Workstream Jennifer McNamara (DOH) John Cho (Microsoft) Project & Success Enhancement of DOH Vaccine Locator tool to improve daylighting of vaccine appointments across the state (first enhancement launched 2/18/21; next iteration projected within two weeks). Project & Success Creating next generation chatbot with AI to answer vaccine questions and provide accurate guidance on demand for the public via the DOH website (projected within two weeks). Project & Success Ongoing improvements to DOH vaccine allocation tool used weekly to make complex supply allocations to providers.

VACCS Center Structure Communications Workstream Lauren Jenks (DOH) Betsy McManus (Starbucks) Project & Success Providing communication resources to DOH through Challenge Seattle partners (ongoing). Project & Success Working with Amazon to add Amazon Connect capability to 211 Call Center to increase both capacity and assistance in scheduling appointments (projected within two weeks). Project & Success Working to develop PSA video for use during 15- minute post vaccination observation period.

VACCS Center Structure Business Processes Workstream Andy Rose (DOH) Shannon Garcia (Starbucks) Project & Success Starbucks logistics and user experience expert analysis and modeling of Clark County Mass Vaccination Site. Added 3rd lane which increased through-put by 30%. Also identified opportunity for PSA during 15-minute post vaccination observation period. Project & Success Starbucks logistics and user experience expert analyzed Benton County Mass Vaccination Site; found site to be efficiently organized.

VACCS Center Structure Supply Logistics & Deployment Workstream Andy Rose (DOH) Jennifer Graves (Kaiser Permanente) Project & Success Bringing three experts (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Kaiser Permanente, Starbucks) to enhance DOH supply planning. (Work just initiating.) Project & Success Partnering with DOH to surface and meet resource needs of local health jurisdictions to reach mass vaccination goals.
