  1. Wheel of Wellbeing

  2. Think of a flat tyre A flat tyre Makes it difficult to steer straight. Makes the ride bumpy and shaky. Makes steering difficult. Could cause a wreck. Could cause you not to reach your destination.

  3. Wheel of Wellbeing Life is about balance. Having a balanced life is important in order to be happy and fulfilled. Often we can slip into a situation where we become focussed on a particular area and end up neglecting other areas of our life. Becoming off balanced can lead to frustration and stress which can affect all areas of our life. The Wheel of Wellbeing is designed to help you to look at the balance between a wide range of areas in your life. It follows that by improving this balance, you can improve your wellbeing.

  4. Wheel of Wellbeing Tool for identifying priorities for life balance and/or identify areas to change to improve balance. Visual representation of the way your life is currently. Each segment represents an area of your life. Paying attention to each segment of the Wheel of Wellbeing helps you grow. Finding balance in your life

  5. Area examples: self-development, family, friends, partner, mental health, emotions, social life, exercise, nutrition, physical health, work, study or learning, community, recreation time, leisure time, hobbies.

  6. Wheel of Wellbeing Personalise the wheel Choose areas important to you. Ask yourself: How am I doing in these areas right now? 0-10 What areas are working for you? What areas do you want to improve?

  7. Wheel of Wellbeing Join up the marks around the circle by drawing a straight or curved line to create a new outer edge. Now, look at the wheel, does it look balanced? Will it roll? What are the gaps? Where do you have opportunity to make changes and increase your satisfaction? What changes do you need to make to get the wheel to roll? It is not a picture of how it has been in the past or what you want it to be in the future. It is a snapshot taken in the here and now. Note: Different areas of your life will need different levels of attention at different times.
