Q&A Question: Can you please share some resources (such as books) that discuss 21st Century Skills in greater detail? Answer: 21 Lessons for the 21st Century , (Yuval Noah Harari) 21st Century skills (by Bernie Trilling) 1
Q&A Question: What exactly defines a millennial? Answer: We think it is not age, but individuals applying the 21st century skills.. 2
Q&A Question: Hi, I am unsure why "productivity" is considered a skill. To me, it's just a result of some acts? Answer: Productivity in this century is regarded as a skill because it's very different to be productive in a task-driven environment in which you're prescribed clear timelines, tasks, and way of doing things, as has been the case for a very long time. Now you work more self-organizing, your productivity depends on your own discipline, self-confidence, creativity and critical thinking. Sometimes productivity is difficult to measure, we do more thinking than manual work. Do you then remain motivated to continue if there is no visible result? In this way, productivity becomes effective through your attitude, your mentality, rather than just through a build-up of actions. 3
Q&A Question: You say millennials are often considered being very critical. Is this not more related to age? Throughout history we often see that younger generations question the skills, worldviews etc. of older generations... Answer: It could very well be related to age. A skill that we seem to forget and use less as we grow older. In this 21st century, however, it is a skill that is essential in being successful. Therefore we think that we should look at the millennials and not judge them for it but see them as an inspiration to stay on edge as well. 4
