  1. Titanium Filtration System

  2. Background Founder Gilbert Erskine has worked in the filtration industry for 30 years. Unlike many membrane suppliers PFi also provide | design | install membrane systems Titanium membrane is unique to all other membrane filtration materials

  3. Titanium membrane benefits Membrane layer and support layer are both 100% titanium metal Longer filtration life Weight to strength is the strongest metal known Corrosion resistant to chlorine Handles full pH range from 0-14 Processes liquid streams containing fat, oil and grease Can be steam cleaned and steam sterilised Paramagnetic does not attract particulate to its surface 100% recyclable Strong and only 350microns thick (0.35mm) Available in MF and UF pore sizes

  4. Compared with traditional membrane Withstands extreme temperatures Chemical, corrosion and erosion resistant Longer service life 4-6 times higher Flux No thermal shock issues Cleans back to day 1 after CIP Faster cleaning and regeneration cycles Water hammer and backpulse options Asymmetrical membrane structure Biologically inert Non tainting and food safe Hydrophilic Thermally resistant

  5. 100% Titanium Tubular Cross Flow Filtration Membrane Feed Stream Transmembrane Pressure (pump) Titanium Substrate Layer Filtrate Filtrate/Permeate Titanium Active Surface Layer Ti Membrane Retentate/Concentrate

  6. What is so different about titanium 100% Pure Titanium Tubular Cross Flow Filtration Membrane It s unique, the only Ti membrane in the world The membrane layer and the support layer are both 100% titanium metal Its strong, its very strong! Its only 350microns thick (0.35mm) Available in MF and UF pore sizes Polysulfone (PSU)

  7. How should we compare 100% pure Ti against traditional membrane Extreme temperatures 130 C Extreme chemical, Corrosion & Erosion resistance pH resistant 0.0 14.0, and high tolerance to chlorine Long service life High Flux (4-6 times higher) Cleans back to day 1 after CIP Asymmetrical membrane structure Long filtration life Biologically inert Non tainting, food safe. Highly Hydrophilic Thermally resistance 100% recyclable No thermal shock issues Steam cleaning possible Increasable tolerance to fats, oils & grease Fast cleaning and regeneration cycles Amazing use of water hammer and backpulse options

  8. Applications unmatched and growing every day! Monoethylene Glycol High solids, fats, oils, grease, harsh chemicals, extreme temperature and so many more possibilities! CBD Cannabis oil Kerosene Orange mango waste water Potato frying oils wash down, high grease recovery Castic milk recovery Dairy farm gate milk 70% water taken out, solids over 40% Wool scour after 3 centrifuges Plant protein

  10. Frequency asked Questions: What is unique about your Titanium membrane The membrane is 100% pure titanium; this includes the active layer. Other metallic membranes use ceramic coatings The membrane comes in a range of diameters from 2.5mm / 0.0984 up to 10mm / 0.394 in one continuous length 1360mm. Typical metallic membranes have short lengths welded together; the welded zone is a high corrosion area. It has a very thin wall thickness of 0.35mm. Metallic membranes have wall thicknesses of around 1.5mm Titanium weight to strength is the strongest metal known Titanium is corrosion resistant to chlorine It is corrosive resistant and can handle full PH range from 0 14 Can be steam cleaned and or steam sterilized. Can process liquid streams containing fat, oil or grease Is paramagnetic and so does not attract particulate to its surface Has a very long-life expectancy Can be completely recycled Can be mass produced
