  3. PEP 1 PEP 1 When a child enters care, the Virtual School initiate the PEP 1, which is completed and uploaded into the VS, epep. Permissions The Virtual School Educational Psychologist permission to start the Assessment on Entry to Care sits within the PEP 1. Any changes to care, school placement or Social Worker require an updated PEP 1.

  4. Calendar Calendar Allows oversight of all looked after children in your school to appropriately plan the PEP meetings in advance and invite the correct people.

  5. Fixed Term Exclusions Fixed Term Exclusions Pupil Details Exclusions From, Date, Type and Reason This section is to be updated on an ongoing basis. Click to add text If any looked after child is at risk of fixed term or permanent exclusion please contact the Virtual School asap for support.

  6. Alternative Provision Alternative Provision View Pupil Click to show additional details Modify Pupil Details Name of AP, day's and times. These changes can be made at any time. If a child is on the roll of a school but attends AP, the school is responsible for updating the PEP the AP will be exected to contribute.

  7. SEN and EHCP SEN and EHCP Drop down boxes, with date entries on all sections, these changes can be made at any time. View Pupil Click to show additional details Modify Pupil details Tick relevant box Add in dates and details, if they pupil has an EHCP add in the needs, provision, date of plan and review. Update at every PEP review Save changes.

  8. Ongoing Notes Ongoing Notes Additional information can be added and stored until the next PEP. Strengths, achievements, Assessments etc. Please note this section is not for safeguarding issues or concerns and is not monitored by the Virtual School.

  9. Progress Review Progress Review The Virtual School monitors progress by collating termly progress reviews for every pupil. Academic The review box in the outcome section can only be used for progress reviews. Attendance Attitude to learning Feedback from the Designated Teacher Additional support or intervention if needed. Pupil Premium Plus is dispersed on the completion of termly progress reviews and six monthly multi agency PEP meetings.

Aligning annual EHCP and Looked Ater Child Reviews As some of the most vulnerable children in society, looked after children are often subject to various reviews, which can prove difficult for professionals to always attend. Social Care Education The alignment will ensure that the correct professionals are in attendance in order to co-produce meaningful documents which offers children, families and professionals a streamlined and focused approach, while improving communication between Education and Social Care. Health The IRO contacts are now in the ePEP, under professionals.
