  14. 2019 Community Engagement Recap 943 people completed the Lakewood and Tillicum survey 16 events, including targeted outreach 73% of resident survey respondents rank libraries within their top four priorities, with public safety, schools, and transportation ranked higher 84% of survey respondents favor new libraries in Lakewood Priorities: Resources, security, longer hours Concerns: Location and access, cost/taxes, unhoused individuals and loitering 14

Proposed 2022 Engagement Online survey: Learn whether what we heard in 2019 still reflects the community s priorities and concerns Discussion Prompts Would you add or change anything about this approach? In-person events: Promote the survey (Farmers Markets, Summerfest, other?) Survey notification: Listservs, social media, postcards, utility bills, library websites, other? Are there other opportunities we should take advantage of? Targeted outreach: Emails or calls to interested groups from 2019 effort Are you willing to help staff events or distribute project materials?
