SCWI Spring Symposium 2016 Collaboration and Teamwork Creating Pathways to Success providing expanded access to post- secondary programming and meaningful supports to encourage successful transitions.
Lets Go! This workshop will discuss how to ensure dual credit students in off-campus programs participate in a rich on campus experience as well as creating post- secondary pathway awareness through additional hands-on experiences, program information, and career planning
What is a Team Taught Program
Policy Ministry Policy Dual credit programs may be delivered in various college or school board locations, as appropriate Secondary schools College campuses, College skills-training centres, Alternative schools Off campus locations
more policy A college professor or instructor delivers and evaluates the student for the portion of the course from the college curriculum, Secondary school teacher delivers and evaluates the student for the portion contained in the Ontario curriculum course. College will provide a Record from the College for the college course
For team-taught dual credit courses, Ontario secondary school curriculum course codes will be used. The course delivery type must be flagged as team-taught college course or team-taught apprenticeship program in 7. For more information on reporting credits from all types of dual credit programs, see The Ontario Student Transcript (OST): Manual, 2013 (forthcoming). Program Delivery 15 the school student management system. On the OST, the words dual credit will appear in parentheses following the course title. The credit for a successfully completed course awarded by the college will be noted in a record issued to the student by the college.
Why do we have field trips? Pathways Dual Credit has successfully transitioned students to post-secondary education by introducing post-secondary education as a pathway to employment and creating awareness of College life and resources that support student retention.
