Processing slides: whats the task The task is to convert speaker s PowerPoint slides to a PDF document AND to check the quality of already uploaded PDF slides files for publication on JACoW In detail: split overlapping objects, like images, text boxes etc search for bad fonts embed videos and animations remove back-up slides handle page sizes correctly for PDF conversion send a response to the speaker time-consuming job, especially for embedding videos and animated gifs, because they need to be converted the good thing: it s an easy task and there is a manual and lots of documentation AND there will be a tutorial
