Every year on the 5th of May, the SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands campaign raises awareness about the importance of hand hygiene in preventing healthcare-associated infections. Join the global movement by creating your own campaign posters, sharing them on social media, and pledging your support to help reduce the burden of infections worldwide. Follow the simple steps outlined above to participate and make a difference in promoting #HandHygiene, #InfectionPrevention, and #HealthForAll.

A Message From Professor Didier Pittet Every year health care-associated infections affect hundreds of millions of patients around the globe; people die or are considerably affected by severe infections acquired during patient care, including many that are resistant to antibiotics. Most of infections can be avoidable. By cleaning their hands, health-care workers can help prevent such infections and contribute to reducing the global burden. Each year on the 5th of May, we run the SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands WHO's global annual call to action to raise awareness of hand hygiene. Today, you can be part of this global campaign in an easy and interactive way. Simply create your own version of the 5th of May posters , print it and use it in your facilities. You can also share it on Social Media to pledge your support and raise awareness for the cause. It will only take 5 minutes to do and will impact the lives of millions of people all around the world. Step 1: Take Your Photo TAKING YOUR PHOTO Stand in front of a dark background Ask a friend to take a photo in a portrait layout
Step 2: Create Your Poster INSERTING AND PLACING YOUR IMAGE To add your image onto the poster, select insert image and choose your photograph Then click on your photo, right click and select SEND TO BACK
Step 3: Promote The Campaign SHARE SOCIALLY Choose FILE and then EXPORT to save your image as a picture and then share on all the Social Media Make sure to use the following #Hashtags #HandHygiene #InfectionPrevention #HealthForAll Or share it simply on www.cleanhandssavelives.org
