The Animal Resource Facility (ARF) and Office of Animal Care Compliance (OACC) are shifting to TOPAZ Elements, a comprehensive web-based system, to streamline management of animal protocols, orders, census, and billing. This upgrade aims to provide better oversight for PIs, enhance compliance with regulations, and facilitate efficient protocol reviews. Training sessions will be conducted for all animal handlers affected by this transition, and existing protocols will be migrated to the new system. The implementation process and its impact on users are detailed in the provided content.
