Mandatory Labelling Requirement Every dealer shall affix a label to a regulated machine in a conspicuous and unobstructed place before putting such regulated machinery on display for sale. Enforcement date: July 01, 2017

Dealer Dealer means a retailer or other person who: (a) imports or displays regulated machinery; (b) sells, hires or offers to hire regulated machinery to any person.
Responsibility of Importers/Distributors towards Resellers Provide the original or certified true copy of test report Provide sufficient number of labels
Existing Stocks To sell the existing stocks of regulated machineries within a period of 9 months from the date of coming into operation of the regulations, i.e by end March 2018. OR Register the appliances with EEMO & affix a label
Enforcement Enforcement officers from EEMO Offence- by reseller by importer any other offence : fine not exceeding Rs 100,000 : fine not exceeding Rs 100,000 : fine not exceeding Rs 100,000
