Understanding the impact of shooting angles on lay-up shoot results in basketball games is crucial for players' performance. Researchers conducted a study to investigate the outcomes of lay-up shoots at various angles on both the right and left sides of the court. The research involved observation and quantitative analysis of lay-up shoot tests at angles of 15, 30, 45, and 60 degrees. Results and discussions revealed differences in shooting efficiency among female participants based on the shooting angles. Various statistical tests were employed to analyze the data obtained from the study.

  1. EFFECT OF SHOOTING ANGLE ON LAY UP SHOOT RESULT IN BASKETBALL GAMES Mohammad Gantira Tri Andika Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia

  2. Introduction LAY UP SHOOT Lay up shoot technique is a movement skill in basketball, to do the lay up shoot technique there is a combination of several basic basketball technique on it, which begins with dribbling, step lay up ( 2 steps) or the rhythm of the lay up shoot steps which end with a push for the player to reach the basketball ring and put the ball into the opponent ring (Yulingga Nanda Hanief, 2015) (Mertayasa et al., 2016) said of the several types of shooting in basketball, the lay up shoot technique is a technique that has very big change for player to score point, because the ball is directed as close as possible to the basketball ring SHOOTING ANGLE Angle 15 , 30 , 45 , 60 Right Side dan Left Side RESEARCH PURPOSE To Know How Big The Lay Up Shoot Results Are At Angles Of 15 , 30 , 45 , 60 On The Right Side And Left Side

  3. Introduction Research Problem Is there a significant difference in lay up shoot results at each shooting angle in basketball ? Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia

  4. LITERATURE REVIEW Shooting Angle Lay Up Shoot Imam Sodikun, 1992:62 Triyanto, 2014 Saying that the 45 angle is the most effective or ideal angle for shooting through the backboard compared to other angles. Lay up is a shot that is done by stepping and jumping. This shot is done from a long distance and approaching the basketball ring by doing a jump-step-jump. In the last jump, the player is in the highest position approaching the basketball ring which is continued by putting the ball in. Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia

  8. RESULT DISCUSSION From the average level of results obtained from the lay up shoot test, it shows that the 45 angle is the most effective and ideal angle position for doing a lay up shoot compared to the 15 , 30 and 60 angle positions for extracurricular participants at SMPN 31 Bandung. (Triyanto et al., 2014) said that shooting at a 45 degree angle is the right or ideal position for shooting through the backboard compared to other angles. At a 45 angle, the player is in a balanced position, namely between the backboard and the ring, so that the player's point of view is easier, and in this position the player does not need to look for a target where the ball must be bounced because the player only delivers the ball towards the bounce angle line. If the ball is released at a 45 angle, the ball feedback or bounce will go directly to the basketball ring. While the average level of lay up shoot results with the smallest average is an angle of 15 , because to do a lay up shoot at this angle, players tend to direct the ball directly towards the ring according to (Silvi et al., 2017) who said that there is a significant difference between a lay up shoot through the backboard and a lay up shoot directly towards the ring. This can happen because the lay up shoot directly towards the ring has an unclear target, requiring the player's arm and push to be at the highest point before doing a fingerroll on the ball, as if the ball was placed right above the ring

  9. CONCLUSION The results obtained from the research that has been conducted are that the results of lay up shoots at each corner in a basketball game show a significant difference Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia
