Rationale All TB health workers must be familiar with the NTP MOP, 5thedition Certificate of training on the NTP MOP is a requirement for DOH Certification and PhilHealth Accreditation of all DOTS Facilities Conventional face-to-face training course requires considerable time and resources from both trainers and trainees

  3. eLearning Advantages Trainers Perspective: Less training costs (outside of course development and course site hosting): transportation, venue, materials, meals, accommodations, miscellaneous fees, opportunity costs Can accommodate more trainees per run of the course Availability of resource persons: can form a pool of resource persons per topic to be engaged as needed

  4. eLearning Advantages Trainees Perspective Trainees can schedule their study time around other priorities at work Can study at own pace and learning style Trainees need not leave their work stations or home

  5. eLearning is in line with the Philippine e-Health Strategic Framework and Plan 2014 2020

  8. Course Description an alternative to the conventional face-to- face training course a Certificate of Training from the DOH will be given to all who successfully complete the course can serve as a refresher course

  9. Course Description 11 modules, 10 of which correspond to the 10 chapters of the MOP course hosted at Philippine TB E-learning Site http://impact.pbsp.org.ph:181/PhilTB.E- learning Will run over 6 weeks with 3 4 hours of study per week

Course Objectives General Objective To present the revised policies and procedures of the NTP MOP (5thed.) to NTP implementers at all service delivery levels using eLearning methods Specific Objectives At the end of the course, the trainees should be able to: Discuss the policies and procedures in the NTP MOP (5thed.) Accomplish all the recording and reporting forms Answer correctly all the exercises on various topics covered in the MOP

  11. Participants Learners: MDs, RNs involved in NTP implementation Training Team: Course Facilitator/s IT support Resource persons from NTP and others depending on topic (for discussion forums, live chat sessions)

  12. Methodology Fully online Via MOODLE (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) open- source Learning Management System used by many open universities worldwide Web-based (no software needed to be installed)

  13. Methodology Learning Activities Read the NTP MOP View videos Do online exercises Work on exercises offline and submit to site Live chat sessions Asynchronous discussion forums Build Glossary Play an online interactive game

  14. Course Materials Course Guide to serve as a roadmap to the entire course Hard copy of the NTP MOP (5thed.) Guide on how to navigate through the course site Study Guides and Learning Activity Guides will direct the students on how to study, use materials and participate in learning activities
