Exploring the Choco5 Job Chain: A 5th Grade Project Recap
In partnership with Kids and the Power of Work (Kapow), 5th-grade students from West Hialeah Gardens Elementary School created a fictional work chain around producing their own product, Chocolate Chip (Choco5). The project showcased the importance of teamwork and highlighted various roles involved in product development, from ingredient production to sales and distribution. Through a series of steps, the students gained insight into the interconnectedness of different job functions within a system. The presentation culminated in the students drawing their own conclusions about the project.

Introduction As part of the program sponsored by Kids and the Power of Work (Kapow), The City of Hialeah Gardens and West Hialeah Gardens Elementary School, 5THGrade represented by Ms. Leal s class, created a fictional work chain, reenacting the sequence of jobs involving a product (our very own, Chocolate Chip/ Choco5). Throughout this presentation, it will be shown the larger interrelationships of an entire system and the importance of team work. Finally the students will input their own conclusions.

Our Team Conclusions Working together as a team makes a project successful. Together team members can solve problems and come up with solutions. Team work can produce better products. KAPOW taught us skills and strategies to help us in the future. There are many jobs available in a variety of fields.
