  1. Uganda Transport Sector Development Partners Group 3 key priorities in the FY 19/20

  2. UNRA Diagnostic Study and recommendations thereof Priority Area 1 Institutional Framework Optimal model for the URF towards a 3G Road Fund Institutional Reforms of UNRA and URF Lacuna in the law

  3. The Roads Bill was presented to Parliament and passed on 17th May,2019. Priority Area 2 Commenced preparation of the RIA report of the Draft National Transport and Logistics Policy and Strategy (NTLPS), 2018. Policy, Legislation and Standards Framework Commenced the preparation of the RIA report of the Draft Inland Water Transport Bill, 2019. Obtain Parliamentary approval of the Civil Aviation Amendment Bill, 2017. Submit the draft Traffic and Road Safety Bill, 2018 as well as the draft National Railway Policy to Parliament.

  4. Submit to Cabinet Draft National Aviation Transport Policy. Priority Area 2 Commence preparation of the second National Transport Master Plan (2021 2040) Policy, Legislation and Standards Framework Finalize the design manual for Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) Conclude the review of the Urban Traffic Management manual Finalize update of the railway design manual and specifications.

  5. Promote local content and reservation scheme for local Consultants and Contractors in public procurement. Priority Area 3 Undertake capacity building initiatives in the National Construction Industry. Maximizing Finance for Development Produce and accredit the Contractors Register. Prepare the draft report for the study to investigate the cost of road construction and maintenance in Uganda. Programmatic PPP in Roads Sub Sector
