  4. Booster Highlights & Information What do we do? Bylaws are posted on the team website Support the coaches and athletes, develop the PWER Nordic Team, promote Nordic skiing General support: pasta parties, socials, race support, food, supplies/wax, spirit wear, photos, season banquet, Michigan training camp Special investments: Rental program for first-year skiers, race suits, wax equipment, training gear Special project = grooming equipment Booster Fees $50 ($25 for each additional skier in the same family) Financial support is available for booster fees and activities, please contact Mike Besser, Kraig Klund, or Drew Voegele Communications http://www.erhsactivities.com/page/show/1148964-pwer-nordic-ski Email distribution very important you must self register see Mike or Deb Besser for instructions Team Remind (text @pwerno to the number 81010 or (608) 492-5397 Volunteer/Support Opportunities Pasta Party Hosts (schedule and sign-up will be posted once we start racing) Banquet Committee Sign-ups for Race Support, Food Donations, and Fundraising (watch for sign-up emails) Fundraising Events: Dec 29 - Cottage Grove Cub; Feb 1 or 2 - Kowalskis; March 21 Jerry s Spirit Wear See order sheets for PWER Nordic gear Michigan Training Camp (Dec 20-22) Organized and subsidized by the boosters Must be a booster member to participate Participation will be capped at approximately 40 skiers Skiers must indicate their interest by Saturday, Nov 16 (watch for instructions from Coach Voegele) Once participation is confirmed, then permission slips/waivers and check will be due by Friday, Nov 29 Cost of the trip will be dependent on participation, plan on about $175/skier All participants will be asked to contribute a food item for team meals, a sign-up list for items will be sent out

Pasta Parties Scheduled the night before races -- up to once per week Will need volunteer hosts -- a sign up will be posted to the website and emailed Boosters provide plates, napkins, utensils Hosts provide pasta and sauce Skiers bring beverages and sides: 7th/8th/9th grade skiers: Green salad and/or fruit 10th grade skiers: Dessert 11th grade skiers: Drinks - white/choc milk, water, juice 12th grade skiers: Bread

  7. Race Support The boosters will provide refueling food/drink for all Pursuit Races Boosters buys food/gatorade Volunteer parents to make pancakes and bars/cookies (post race) Sign-up will be posted

Pizza Party and Bonfire Thursday November 7 Lake Elmo Park - Nordic Center Captains Practice: 3:45-5:00 at Lake Elmo Park Pizza Party/Bonfire starts at 5:00 All skiers and family are welcome Bring along friends that are thinking about joining Great chance for new parents to learn more about the program Make sure you have your park pass - or purchase a day pass at the gate. Park office is open until 4:30.
