FINANCIAL AID OPTIONS. YOU GAIN YOUR B.S DEGREE AT A UNIVERSITY. Which Which Pathway are you Pathway are you considering? considering? COMMUNITY COLLEGES-ADMISSIONS GRANTED AFTER HIGH SCHOOL. MADE UP OF 10 COLLEGES. EACH COLLEGE SPECIALIZES IN DIFFERENT TRADE PROGRAMS AND CERTIFICATES. YOU GAIN YOUR ASSOICATES AND OR CERTIFICATE FROM A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. TRADE/TECHNICAL- SPECIALIZED TRAINING FOR SPECIFIC CAREER. WEST MEC, PIMA MEDICAL, UTI APPRENTICESHIP-PAID TRAINING IN SPECIALIZED FIELD, APPLICATIONS ARE REQUIRED. EX: APS, DPR MILITARY: SPEAK TO A RECRUITER IN THE BRANCH YOU ARE CONSIDERING. ASVAB NEEDS TO BE TAKEN. HEALTH AND MEDICAL SCREENINGS ARE PART OF THE PROCESS.

  9. Choose a career cluster you are interested in. Click "next" to view careers within that cluster. Choose a career then click "next". Click on a major or training program to complete. Click "next" and review your profile. Click "go to Dashboard".

  12. Course planner- Shows all your courses you have taken or plan to take Scores and Performance- You can view your ACT/AP scores as well as compare your ACT/SAT scores with the colleges you have selected. School Records request- Download unofficial transcripts

  13. Registration What is on your ECAP form matches what you put in SchoolLinks. Consider: Art Seal, Seal of Biliteracy, MET, West Mec, World language This form needs to be signed and returned back to your Counselor next week.

  14. DUAL Enrollment This is earning college credit in high school courses. There is a fee, but it is at a reduced rate, and you can apply for grants. Examples of Cactus classes: College Math, College Algebra, AP AZ/US History, Cybersecurity, Sports Medicine, Human Physiology, Crime Scene and Marketing. ACADEMIC Planning Things to Consider Career Exploration CTE courses are for exploring careers. Co-Enroll at another school if needed. Check Course Description Guide an CTE website West-MEC has some one-year programs. Check their website! AP Courses Honors course that helps prepare well for college. Can take the AP exam, scores of 3, 4 and 5 can equate to college credit (accepted at most universities across the US)

  15. When you have finished, make sure your ECAP includes all these required courses: Cactus High School Graduation Requirements AZ University Admission Requirements Subjects English 4 credits 4 credits Mathematics 4 credits 4 credits Science 3 credits 3 credits Social Studies 3 credits 2 credits PE * 1 credit -- Fine Art or CTE 1 credit 1 credit World Language -- 2 credits (same language) Core Classes 16 credits 16 credits (all C or better) Elective Classes 12 credits 12 credits Total 28 credits 28 credits

  16. After you have accounted for all the Graduation and University requirements, review the Course Offering Guide and choose your electives. Picking Electives You must choose 8 classes and 3 alternates. **Release time option will only be available to Senior students who meet college and career readiness standards

  17. Senior Only Elective Earn credit while .. -Only coming to school for a few weeks -Gaining valuable work experience -Increasing credits toward class rank instead of release time SIGN UP FOR INTERNSHIP!
