NEW examples in R149 Annex 13 (real size of the marking) The lamp bearing the approval marks shown on the left is a passing beam headlamp (C) combined with a day-time running lamp (RL) using a plastic lens (PL) approved in Belgium (E6). The passing beam headlamp pursuant to this Regulation 149R as amended by the 01 series of amendments (01) is approved under approval number 3008 for right-hand traffic and under approval number 3009 for left-hand traffic (arrow). The day-time running lamp (RL) as set in the original series of amendments (00) of the Regulation on Light Signalling Devices 148R is approved under both approval numbers. Figure A13-II - Marking example 2b RL C PL E6 148R003008 149R01 3009 The approval mark on the lamps may contain only the approval number corresponding to the traffic of the product (example 2b-1 or 2b-2) or, if both numbers are present in the marking (example 2b) a second indelible marking is required to specify the corresponding traffic (example 2b-1 or 2b-2) . and/or example 2b-1 RL C PL E6 148R003008 149R01 and/or example 2b-2 RL C PL E6 148R00 149R013009

All three lamps (functions) are approved in Spain (E9) under approval number 1199.
