What is Recognition? rec og ni tion [rek-uhg-nish-uhn] the acknowledgment of achievement, service, merit, or etc. In Key Club, recognition involves acknowledging a member, an officer, an advisor, Kiwanis member, Kiwanis club, community organization, etc. for their hard work.   5. Club Recognition Officers should recognize members who have achieved: o 50 hours Bronze MRP o 100 hours Silver MRP o 150 hours Gold MRP o 200 hours Platinum MRP BEE creative! Start traditions that have the ability to be continued for years! i.e: Create a summer events recognition program , give out leis, or do monthly recognition sessions during club meetings.   6. CNH Contests The following contests are open to all the members of CNH. Current guidelines apply to the current CNH District administrative year CNH | California-Nevada-Hawaii Key Club District District Education

  7. Awards: Club Club Attire: The Club Attire award shall provide recognition to Key Clubs that best demonstrate the goals and values of our organization via their Club Attire. Club Newsletter: This award shall provide recognition to Key Clubs that have developed exemplary club newsletters. Club of the Year: The Club of the Year award shall provide recognition to Key Clubs that have demonstrated overall excellence during the District Administrative Year. Club Poster: This award shall provide recognition to Key Clubs that best demonstrate the values of our organization via poster. CNH | California-Nevada-Hawaii Key Club District District Education

  8. Club Video: This award shall provide recognition to Key Clubs that best demonstrate the values of our organization via video. Most Improved Club: The Most Improved Club Award shall provide recognition to Key Clubs that have demonstrated the greatest improvement during the district administrative year. Year in Review: The Year-In-Review award is an International recognition contest which showcases club activities during the past administrative year. There are traditional and non- traditional forms of Year-In-Review. Traditional is a conventional scrapbook while non-traditional is a composition of other media containing pictures, souvenirs, examples, newspaper clippings or other representations of its activities during the club administrative year. The digital scrapbook award, which is a CNH district award, is given to a scrapbook which uses a digital format.   9. Awards: Member Member of the Year: Member of the Year is a District recognition contest judged on the Division level. Applicants submit their portfolio by the deadline set by the Lieutenant Governor. One winner will be selected from each division. At DCON 2020, each Member of the Year will be recognized. Sandy Nininger: The Sandy Nininger award is given to a distinguished Key Club member who has done an outstanding job serving the District. Awards: Officer For officer recognition, applicants submit an E- Portfolio, and have an opportunity to receive Level 1: Distinguished Level 2: Outstanding Distinguished officers walk across the stage at DCON President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Decided by the scores accumulated by the District Judging Committee.   11. Awards: Service Major Emphasis and Single Service projects are International recognition contests. Distinguished winners will be announced at DCON and the top submissions will go on to compete at the international level. Major Emphasis- Service projects that meet the theme Children, their future our focus . Single Service- A project that is a club created service project.   12. Awards: Advisors Advisor of the Year The Advisor of the Year is a District recognition contest judged at the Division level. It is given to an distinguished advisor who fosters service leadership, long-term commitment, and growth in Key Club while promoting club representation and member involvement in serving his or her community. Marvin J Christiansen The Marvin J. Christiansen Advisor Award recognizes the achievements of a Kiwanis Advisor serving the California-Nevada-Hawaii Key Club District. It is the highest recognition award presented to a Kiwanis Advisor at the CNH Key Club District level. CNH | California-Nevada-Hawaii Key Club District District Education

  13. Member Recognition Program The Member Recognition Program (MRP) is conducted on the club level and each club is responsible for determining applicant eligibility. Records are in the MRP tab in the Club MRF. There are a list of requirements needed to reach each level (bronze, silver, gold, platinum). All winners will receive a certificate and their names will be showcased at DCON. CNH | California-Nevada-Hawaii Key Club District District Education

  15. CNH Contest Overview Contest Submission Deadline: Division Judged Contests are due to your Division s LTG on a date THEY DECIDE. All District Judged contests must be submitted by Saturday, January 25th, 2020 Remember to: Read the guidelines, make sure it is graphic standards, the sizing of the files must be less than 10MB Make sure you have everything completed! Name your file correctly Ask questions! Turn in your submission before 11:59 PM Do not procrastinate!   18. Take Away One should not work for recognition but rather, do work worthy of it Recognition should be a part of your clubs program. You should think about doing recognition often- as it is year round. Remember, something that may seem simple to you can mean a lot to someone else.
