RECAP: DIVINE HANDICAP SPIRITUAL BATTLES CANNOT BE WON WITH PHYSICAL WEAPONS Josh.5:8-9 And after the whole nation had been circumcised, they remained where they were in camp until they were healed. Then the Lord said to Joshua, Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you. So the place has been called Gilgal to this day ... For 40 years, the Israelites had not circumcised their children But God still blessed them!
ADORATION Matt.5:45 He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Psa.103:10he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities... for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. Let s worship our God the merciful Father who is gracious and kind! He blesses us though we are undeserving. He pours out His grace (unmerited favor) on us and our families. He does not treat us as our sins deserve but is patient with us!
CONFESSION Josh.5:7 So he raised up their sons in their place, and these were the ones Joshua circumcised. They were still uncircumcised because they had not been circumcised on the way. .. There is a limit to God s mercy and patience! God raised up others to take their place. 1. Confess where you have confused God s blessings with God s approval, and where you have taken God s grace and mercy for granted 2. Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit so that you will have an uncircumcised heart tender towards God
THANKSGIVING Josh.5:9 Then the Lord said to Joshua, Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you. Reproach = disgrace or shame . Radical obedience ends the shame and disgrace of slavery freedom from the idols/strongholds of personal/family limitations, the past, fears, failures, what people thing about us, our jobs, our relationships, our money Thank God for the blessings that have come your way even when you have not been fully aligned and surrendered common grace Thank God that through your obedience this year, slavery is not your portion!
2024 WORD: UNSHAKEABLE! 1Cor.15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (say it together! Speak these blessings over yourself & your family today) 1. RESILIENT FAITH that through training, we will develop a faith that can withstand any challenge (stand firm; let nothing move you!) 2. KINGDOM BUSINESS that everything we do will be driven by God s agenda (give yourself fully to the work of the Lord) 3. HIDDEN TREASURES that as we surrender to God, we will experience divine provision from unlikely sources (your labor in the Lord is not in vain).
SUPPLICATION MATTHEW 7:7-8 Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.... What major issues are you trusting God for during this fast? LIST Pray for yourself grace to keep knocking. Pray that doors will be opened as you pray!
