  2. Monday objectives: TEKS: 1A, 1B Icebreaker TSW review the 4 tones 6 vowel sounds TTW introduce initials TTW will introduce the new words: family Review Chinese Ghost Month hw: students will practice quizlet 10 times.

  3. Do on Ghost Month 1. Prepare food, drink on the alter. 2. Light the paper house, car, house items to the deceased family or non family ghost to let them have a luxury life. 3. Light joss paper, incense 4. Bow to the ancestor or to the air 5. Pray for the ghost from the ancestor or outside the family. not to do at Chinese Ghost Month 1. kick or disturb the offering (joss stick, candles or food offerings) to the ghosts, 2. no weddings or moving house or do investment 3. avoid water area: swimming in this month because it is believed that those spirt who died in the water are looking for replacement. 4. not to turn back or respond if a stranger calls your name from your back. 5. return home early 6. Never take any offerings that are meant for the spirits 7. Do not whistle at night. It will draw the ghosts attention. 8.. Do not dry clothing at night time. 9. Be extra caution in driving 10. Avoid wearing of black as not to welcome more bad energy
