FY22 Vision The goal is to shift the culture of the City of Burlington to be an inclusive place where BIPOC feel like they belong, and are included not as an assimilated version of themselves, but as their authentic self with all of the power and uniqueness that brings.

Key Functions & Structure Limited Service
FY22 Expenses $1.7MM Empowerment, $100,000.00 Juneteenth, $100,000.00 Public Art, $165,000.00 General Op, $306,000.00 Salaries, $1,238,022.00
FY22 Public Art Sculpture $165,000 to erect a sculpture that emotes inclusion and belonging that will be synonymous with Burlington in the way the spoon and cherry are synonymous with Minneapolis
FY22 Empowerment Fund: financial support and resources for the BIPOC community This fund is $100,000 to provide: Programs and grants to support food insecurity, housing, etc Community engagement (payments for listening sessions) Community support Funds to complete the 8-point Plan.
FY22 Expansion of REIB Four Trainers (limited service for up to a year) Internship Program (four undergrad and/or grad students) Data Analyst Curriculum Manager Public Health Equity Manager Public Health Equity & Engagement Manager Economic Opportunity Specialist
