FUNMOVES – A SCHOOL-BASED SCREENING TOOL OF FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENT SKILLS

FUNMOVES is a school-based screening tool developed by Dr. Lucy Eddy to assess Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) in children. The tool helps in identifying children with low FMS proficiency, enabling tailored support plans to enhance their motor development. With activities designed for quick assessment and based on robust scientific evidence, FUNMOVES has been trialled on over 1300 children, allowing teachers to accurately evaluate FMS. Schools are encouraged to upskill staff, identify specific needs of children, and create tailored support plans using the information gathered from FUNMOVES assessments.
