The National Shelter and Non-Food Items Cluster meeting in Iraq on Wednesday, 24th September 2014 discussed various important agenda items including updates on the SRP process, strategic objectives, overview of cluster projects, types of assistance provided, and targeting vulnerable groups.   2. SRP Strategic Objectives 1. Advocate to the Government of Iraq, at all levels, to fulfil their obligations under Iraqi and international law, especially the international human rights instruments, that human rights of all Iraqis, especially the right to life, are respected. 1. Assess and monitor protection needs of Iraqis, in order to provide vulnerable groups with life-saving protection and humanitarian assistance in the form of: shelter, non-food items, water, sanitation, education, health, food security and information. 1. Integrate a conflict sensitivity approach throughout the humanitarian response, including communicating with communities and accountability to affected populations, in order to create an enabling environment for humanitarian action. 1. Seek durable solutions that complement and reinforce the central leadership role of the government as the primary responders in this crisis, with the full participation of Iraqi civil society.
