Alexander Miles was a great inventor who invented the automatic opening and closing doors This was a great way to stop having to manually open and close the doors.
Alexander Miles was born in Ohio in 1837.
Alexanders hobby as an adult was being a barber. He also had no other siblings. His parents were Michael Miles and Mary Pompy.

Alexander Miles got married in Dunlap to Candace. Candace and Alexander settled in Dunlap and had one child named Grace. Grace was born on April 9, 1876.

A reporter from the Daily Winona News came to Alexander Miles house and wrote about the successful man. Miles drove the reporter around to show off the amazing parts of Duluth. They traveled behind a large group of horses to show how amazing Zenith City was.
The saddest moment in Alexander Miles life was when his wife Candace died at the age of 71. Following her death, Alexander was very ill and died in the hospital.
