This project is co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey MAIN PRINCIPLES OF STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION Transparency: information on the SEA process and environmental aspects clear and precise communication, provision of Feedback: comments from stakeholder consultation have to be integrated into the SEA report. This project is co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey EXAMPLES FROM EU COUNTRIES: ANALYSIS OF REFIT EVALUATION OF SEA DIRECTIVE Consultation methods vary: public hearings, working groups, committee meetings, or just collection of written comments after publication of SEA documentation. The public defined either in legislation or guidance documents: NGOs are either explicitly or implicitly included. Availability of documentation on SEA process varies: - Screening report published only in some states, - Environmental Report can be published on the authorities website and/or available in printed copy at an agreed location, Some countries perform public consultation in screening phase, too!
