Set and due each Wednesday. https://ttrockstars.com/ Timetables help your child to succeed in Maths. Battles and challenges will be set regularly for children. Children will be informed about these and will know to look out for them! During week 1 of an English teaching unit (usually 3-weekly), your child will come home with a story map in their homework books (which we are teaching them in school). We invite them to use this map to get in some extra rehearsals at home. Look out for our recorded performances of the stories and texts on the school website! Spelling lists for children to revise at home are stuck into homework books. Children are asked to choose 5 per week to revise in a way which works for them - see the list of spelling strategies also stuck in. - - - -

  7. Reading: Mrs Marsh - Your child will have 2 books: a reading scheme book (based on their reading ability) and a reading for pleasure book (which they have chosen to read for pleasure). The more your child reads aloud the better their reading fluency will become! We ask children to read at home daily. We are asking parents to hear their child twice a week at home and sign their record (back of their homework books). Children will be keeping a record of their scheme book at the back, and their reading for pleasure book on it s own separate page. Recommended Reads: We are always recommending books to children. Take a look in their homework books for a booklet full of Year 5 and 6 recommended books! Above all, we want our children to enjoy their reading and feel happy and confident! - - - - -
