Practice Information When 08/05: Equipment handout - Weigh ins 08/06 08/30: Practice Monday through Friday 5:30-7:30pm 09/03 end of season: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5:15-7:00pm Schedule: Tackle Dates above are tentative please watch your email/SportsEngine app What to Wear 08/06 & 08/07 helmets, cleats, fitted mouth guard, t-shirt and shorts 08/08 & 08/09 add shoulder pads 08/12 full uniform Practice will take place at Kettle Moraine High School. Requirements Players will need a helmet, cleats, a fitted mouth guard, and a large water bottle for every practice and every game. Players will not be allowed to participate in practice if they do not have these items. All players must have 8 hours of conditioning before they can have contact. If your player will miss practice, please contact your coach Before & After Practice Players should not be dropped off unless their coach is present. Players must be dressed and ready for practice. Players should be picked up in the designated area and no later than 10 minutes after practice ends. Practices are closed to parents. Inclement Weather Practices are still held in light rain. If lightning is present, the players will be taken in to the high school. If practice is going to be called off, messages will be sent via the app. If weather is questionable, parents should be onsite to pick up players in the event of a cancellation.   6. DOWNLOAD SPORTS ENGINE -Games, Practice and Communication Questions: Mike Sasada Parent Expectations VOLUNTEERS NEEDED -HELP PLEASE! Needed every game or we can t play First Down Chains -2 people Down Marker -1 person Clock/Scoreboard -1 person Announcer -1 person Drop off and pick up times Drop Off -15 minutes prior to start of practices Pick Up -If you can t make it for some reason your responsibility is to communicate with the coach Coaches are volunteering their time, no reason they should need to stay 15-30 minutes after practice to make sure kids are picked up.

Playing Time Tackle -Goal of Equal Playtime No A and B Teams Attitude, Participation and Practice will have an effect on Playing Time If kids are missing practice or aren t participating in practice it will be hard to get them equal playing time because they won t understand the plays Gradual Progression from 5th through 8th expect more as they get older Practice, Participation & Play Time (3P s) If issues arise: Seek to understand first (Attitude and Participation in practice) Ask child to speak with coach Parent speak to coach If can t be resolved reach out to the board

  8. New League as of 2023 AAYFL AAYFL: Second year in league More Opponents near us and in Classic 8 11 x 11 from 5th -8th grades Change from 8 x 8 for 5th and 6th 5th Grade -40 Kids -1 or 2 Teams 6th Grade -22 Kids -1 Team 7th Grade -21 Kids -1 Teams 8th Grade -35 Kids -1 Team

All coaches are heads up certified KM teaches kid the proper way to tackle Experienced Athletic Trainer at every game Home or Away 100 new speedflex helmets (2023) Annual Helmet and Shoulder Pads recertification Concussion Awareness -Youth Concussion Law Any sign of concussion -no questions asked they are pulled WIAA Rules Parents -Inform coaches if suspect Player not allowed to return until cleared my medical professional Player Safety

  10. Code of Conduct The Athletic Code of conduct will be followed. If you are suspended from school, football consequences may occur including missed practices and games
