The strategic plan is undergoing a systematic review, which is about halfway complete. With this plan in mind, ASA President Dionne Price has focused on promoting the practice and profession of statistics through three initiatives: Promoting the Profession, through StatsForward, a professional leadership development program for early-career statisticians and data scientists.. Promoting the Practice, through improving means for communicating the value our community brings to scientific discoveries and decisions, and through sharing the exciting opportunities within the ASA for collaboration, leadership, and career development. Promoting the Practice and Profession of Statistics, through enhancing the pipeline into the profession by making the transition from two-year to four-year programs in statistics and data science as seamless as possible. 9
