Weaverham High School offers two routes for Science GCSE - Combined Science Trilogy and Single Science. Each option includes specialized teaching in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics with different lesson frequencies. The exams are tiered, with Scientific skills forming a part of the assessment.   2. We offer 2 routes for science GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy AQA Trilogy Combined Science Single Science - Offered as a GCSE Option AQA GCSE Biology, AQA GCSE Chemistry and AQA GCSE Physics Course Overview All pupils have to study science All pupils have to study all 3 sciences

  3. Combined Science: Trilogy Combined Science is worth 2 GCSEs Pupils will have 3 specialist teachers each teaching one of the science disciplines Biology, chemistry and physics. Pupils will have 9 lessons a fortnight. Single Science (Option) Single science is worth 3 GCSEs, one in Biology, one in Chemistry and one in Physics. Pupils will have 3 specialist teachers each teaching one of the science disciplines Biology, chemistry and physics. Pupils will have 14 lessons a fortnight. Course Information

  4. All exam are tiered High tier awards grades 9-4, Foundation tier awards Grade 5-1 100% written exam. Scientific skills make up 20% of the written exam. Combined Science: Trilogy 6 exams in total - 2 biology exams , 2 from chemistry exams and 2 physics exams. Each exam in 1 hour 20 minutes and worth 70 marks. Examination Details Single Science 6 exams in total - 2 biology exams , 2 chemistry exams and 2 physics exams. Each exam is 1 hour 45 minutes and worth 100 marks
