Visualizing the Future Public Symposium is a project aimed at developing a literacy-based agenda for library and information professionals focusing on data visualization. Supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, this symposium features lightning talks, discussions, an invited speaker session with Dr. Maylei Blackwell, and opportunities to engage with the community. Participants can also access live captions, report code of conduct violations, and follow guidelines for asking questions during Q&A sessions.

Purpose of the grant Visualizing the Future is a project to develop a literacy-based instructional and research agenda for library and information professionals with the aim to create a community of praxis focused on data visualization. This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, RE-73-18-0059-18.
