Please be patient. Frequency congestion will be an issue. Prior to taxi get the ASOS and complete as many pre- departure checklist items as possible If you do not get a response ground will reach out to you. VFR Departure Procedures 4
While taxiing on the ramp MONITOR ground control on 121.9. If you are ready and no response is received move to the hold short line and they will contact you when its your turn to taxi Frequency management is imperative for the safe and expeditious flow of air traffic. When you are the number 1 aircraft holding short of the taxiway, and we are ready for you to start a taxi, we will transmit taxi instructions to you. Listen up so we don t have to make multiple transmissions. Do not taxi onto the taxiway until ground control initiates your taxi instructions. VFR Departure Procedures 5
Try to have all runup and predeparture checklist items complete prior to becoming the #1 aircraft at the end. Ground Control may ask you if your ready before you become #2. When you are the #2 aircraft in sequence, unless otherwise instructed by ATC, and ready to go, switch over to the tower frequency 120.775. MONITOR tower frequency and be ready for them to issue you a takeoff clearance. Please be patient. There will look like there is space for you. Tower has spacing requirements that need to be maintained. We will get you out as efficiently as we can. VFR Departure Procedures 7
We have your requested direction of flight for departure You may receive a clearance to depart the Class Delta in a different direction for traffic. Remain on tower frequency until you exit the Class Delta Once you exit the Class Delta you may proceed on course and change frequencies at your discretion Do Not report clear of Class Delta airspace VFR Departure Procedures 8
