School Code of Conduct and Event Guidelines

Purchasing Tickets
–
Tickets will be sold on both sides of the main entrance of the gym
–
Ticket sales will begin one hour before the start of the first game
–
Students may purchase tickets in advance, if not, they must pay full price at the time of admission
•
Arrival of Visiting Teams
–
Locker rooms will be made available upon arrival of vising team and will be assigned by the athletic
director
–
A certified athletic trainer will be on duty during games and will be ready to assist your athletes
needs
–
Halls High School will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles from assigned locker room. It is
suggested that coaches provide a team “valuable bag.” Locker rooms will also be locked at the
coaches request.
–
Teams will not be allowed to warm-up on the floor without a coach present.
•
Seating
–
The visiting team’s seating will be on the same side as the scorer’s table.
–
The cheerleaders will align themselves behind the goal on each end of the floor. The visiting team
will be at the goal closest to the entrance.
•
Food and Drink
–
Food and drink are allowed in the gym. Please throw away trash. We take pride in our gym.
•
Responsibility
–
Stay in the designated area until released
–
Stay off the gym floor during the event
–
Follow posted rules
–
Keep your area clean
–
Everyone must know the alma mater

Optimism
–
Represent your grade level and school in a positive manner
–
Show school spirit!

Accountability
–
Sit in your designated area and maintain an acceptable
volume

Handle food as it is meant to be handled

Be sure to point out to explain the vocabulary of the terms to students:
Responsibility – each person in the bulding is responsible for their own actions. Each person should accept responsibility to model appropriate behavior.
Optimism – We are all here to learn. Each staff member and student should arrive each day being optimistic. We all have bad days, but we should all model the characteristic of optimism. School is a place where mistakes are an opportunity for learning.
Accountability – Every person must be accountable. Teachers must be prepared daily to teach, students must be held accountable to be prepared, complete assignments, and behave appropriately.
Respect – All people who enter HHS or attend an event at HHS should display respect toward staff, students, and guests.
Guidelines for attendees at Halls High School athletic events, formal gatherings in the gym, and general school arrival and departure procedures emphasize responsibility, optimism, accountability, and respect. Students are reminded of rules for purchasing tickets, seating arrangements, behavior expectations, and relevant details for a smooth and enjoyable experience at school events.
