Homework Policy and Plan

Planners are the communication tool for the daily homework as
well as changes to the schedule. It is expected the planner is
signed nightly and returned to school the following day.
Everyday math homework will come home daily and needs to be
returned the following day. For you to help your child with the
math, monthly parent letters will come home which explain the
concept being covered as well as the answer sheet for your
reference.
At home each month the children are expected to read a chapter
book at their level. This book should be started at the beginning
of the month and finished by the end of the month. A project will
be completed in the classroom with this book.
Students need to study the spelling words in their planner nightly
to understand the meaning of each word, as well as the spelling
skill being taught. These words will be tested weekly.
