  14. The theme of the poem I Died For Beauty. I Died For Beauty is a lyrical poem written by American poem Emily Dickinson. The theme of the poems are beauty and truth. Death is also an important theme. In the poem, the poet establishes her concept on beauty and truth. The speakers of the poem died for beauty. When she was hardly adjusted to her tomb another person claimed to be dead for truth. Through the conversation the two dead persons understand they are brothers, kinsmen Beauty and truth are same. What is beautiful forever remains true. They represent each other. They talked between their tombs until the moss reached their lips and covered up the names on their tombstones. Death is a universal truth. Beauty and truth s death for nobles make them spiritually akin. Thus the poem gives an aesthetics impression of beauty. Nelufa Afrose Bithi
