  2. UFOs A UFO is an unidentified flying object. It is an object in the sky that you cannot explain. Pilots may report them when they are flying. Radio telescopes may hear them. Many people believe that they see them. Pat Travis saw lights in the sky that made strange movements. Judy Varna, who works for a UFO research group, saw one in a photo. And both sightings happened in Area 51. Sightings of alien spacecraft often happen in Area 51 in Nevada. The Air Force tests new technology in this area, and they tested strange airplanes. Are they keeping UFO findings secret? The astronomer James McGaha is also a pilot, He flew airplanes in Area 51. There is no secret, he says. Why? There are no flying saucers or aliens in Area 51.

Some people believe that UFOs have been found in Area 51 in Nevada. Many groups study UFOs. One of these groups is the Mutual UFO Network. Area 51 is one of their favorite places. Judy Varns works for the Mutual UFO Network. Varns took photos in Area 51. She was excited when she saw a disk- shaped thing in her pictures. The object could not be explained. Now Varns thinks that the disk-shaped object was a UFO.
