Addressing alcohol harm involves implementing better policies, shifting cultural norms, enhancing knowledge, promoting improved drinking behaviors, and offering more support and treatment options. Initiatives like the New Horizons grant program aim to support marginalized groups, while campaigns work to end sober shaming and encourage a holistic approach to alcohol-related issues, including workplace interventions.

It is essential that employers have support mechanisms in place. Also, that employees are made aware of what support is available to them, should they need it, including signposting to external professional sources of help.
