What happens at festivals?
 
There is usually a 
parade
. Also sometimes

competitions
. There can be
concerts

stages

workshops

too. People can usually buy food and drinks at
a festival. A festival starts with an 
opening
ceremony
 and ends with a 
closing ceremony
.
Sometimes people get

There is the 
Carnival in Rio
, in Brazil.
Octoberfest
 is a traditional folk festival in
Germany. 
St Patrick
`s day 
is an Irish festival
which takes place in Dublin and other cities.
There are many other festivals in Asian
countries such as the festival of colours or a
festival of light/lanterns. Also there are snow
festivals.
