Scientific Research in Islam

What Islam Says about the Pursuit of knowledge through research

Scientific Research in Islam

Islam made it known that the pursuit of knowledge should be
evident and clear, providing the populace with specialized
research that could help them in the development of scientific
facts, for example finding certain medicines for certain
illnesses. Islam encouraged it’s followers to seek knowledge, as
well as produce specialized researches in connection to this.

Abu Huraira reported
:
“Wisdom is the lost
property of a
believer. Wherever he
finds it, he is most
deserving of it.”
4

This Hadith reported by Abu
Huraira refers to wisdom,
which is seeked out alongside
with knowledge. Both of these
elements can be thoroughly
found with extensive and
specialized research.

What he is implying by this
Hadith is that a Believer who
seeks knowledge, is merely
seeking a missing part of their
self, and if they find this
knowledge they are looking for,
then they deserve it because of
the effort they put into pursuit
knowledge.
