Ecological environment refers to all living and
non living thing around us within which we live
and work. People have a two way
relationship with the ecological environment.
An individual life and work is affected by the
ecological environment. At the same time
ecological environment gets affected by the
people in it.

Ecology is the scientific study of
relationship between organisms and their
environment. Ecology provides the
framework within which we live.
Ecological systems powered by solar
     energy are known as Ecosystems.
Ecology and business have a very close
relationships
in fact business activities have great
     impact on ecology.

Ecology Balance is a state in which all ECOSYSTEM inputs
are equal to the system outputs. Ecology, environment and
quality of life are inter-related concepts and have
acquired a new significance in recent years.
When ecological balance is
     maintained, human beings as
well as animals will have better
     quality life and their basics
     needs will be met properly.

Environment implies surroundings. Clean
Environment makes our life happy and raises our
welfare. Environment is a nature’s gift to be
enjoyed and shared by all.
Industrial Growth must not be allowed for
degrading environment , ecology and ecology
balance. In fact, sustainable development can
be achieved only if the environment is
conserved and improved.

Air pollution is due to chemicals and
particles which are pumped into air regularly
by industrial units.
The level of sulfur dioxide increases due to
air pollution.
The Bhopal gas

disaster and frequent gas
leakages in industrial towns suggest the
intensity of air pollution in India.

Water Pollution is equally serious as the quality
of water is of vital concern to mankind since it
is directly linked with human welfare.
Water Pollution is mainly due to
    Chemical Plants and sugar factories.
In India, about 80% of the disease are
    water related

Sound pollution affects both health and
behavior. Unwanted sound (noise) can
damage psychological health.
Sound pollution can cause
hypertension
, high
stress levels,
tinnitus
, hearing loss, sleep
disturbances, and other harmful effects.

Effective urban and transportation
planning, control of emissions from
vehicles, use of cleaner fuels and
plantation of environment friendly
trees.
At present, people in big cities have
learnt to live with pollution.

Favourable effects of
Industrialisation

1.
Utilisation of natural
resources
2.
Economic development
3.
Employment
opportunities
4.
large scale production
of goods and services

Adverse effects of
Industrialisation

1.
Leads to deforestation
2.
Depletion of natural
resources
3.
Reduction in fertility of
soil
4.
Leads to all kinds of
pollution

Pollution is a unavoidable consequence of
industrialisation
There are many other reasons also for
pollution
Pollution is everybody’s business everyone
creates it and everyone is affected by it
The industry is held responsible for disturbing
the ecology

There are many other factors of pollution
also
1.
Growing Population
2.
Large scale Deforestation
3.
Industrial growth without proper planning
4.
Unplanned urbanisation
5.
Rapid expansion of transport facilities
6.
Agricultural waste
7.
Natural disaster

Ecology and business have a complex relationship where human activities impact the ecological environment, and in turn, the environment influences our quality of life. Maintaining ecological balance is crucial for sustainable development, and businesses play a significant role in ensuring environmental protection and preservation. Awareness, responsible industrial growth, pollution control, and shared responsibility are key factors in achieving harmony between business activities and ecological sustainability.

  6. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BUSINESS ECOLOGY AND

  7. The following points suggest the relationship between ecology and business. 1. Unplanned industrialisation is dangerous to ecology and ecosystem. 2. Planned industrial growth is needed for ecological balance. 3. Pollution control at business level is important for social welfare.

  8. 4. Business must share major responsibility for ecological balance. 5. Awareness among businessmen required for ecology protection. Clean environment and economic development are inconsistent.

  9. TYPES OF POLLUTION ENVIRONMENTAL

  10. Air pollution is due to chemicals and particles which are pumped into air regularly by industrial units. The level of sulfur dioxide increases due to air pollution. The Bhopal gas disaster and frequent gas leakages in industrial towns suggest the intensity of air pollution in India.

  12. SOUND POLLUTION

  13. Industrialization and Environmental Pollution Industrialisation is closely connected to ecological environment Industrialisation is basic reason for environmental pollution Ecological degradation is the result of rapid and unplanned industrialisation
