3. This story is about a person who has patience (Ch -san) and a person who is short-tempered (Tanshichi).

4. People can be attracted to opposites and have a strong friendship with each other.

5. The characters in this story have opposite personalities but have been friends for a very long time.

6. Tanshichi: Who is it?.. Who is it that s peeking between the doorway?..

7. Who is it? If you want to come in just come in.

8. Dont just stare through thereIts you right? It s Ch -san, right?

9. It is you Ch-san Hey!! Just come here!

10. Ch-san: Ah I found you

11. What are you talking about? You knew I was here from the first place. So do you need something?

12. No, not really. Well, don t just stand there and come on in. Yea I ll come on in

13. (Ch-san comes inside the house, very slowly)

14. What do you need? I don t really need anything I was walking outside

15. and then realized that the doors were slightly opened I wondered, if Tanshichi san was home? Or maybe not?

16. so I peered in and I found you!

17. What are you saying? You came by to visit me right? Good thing you came!

18. I was getting so bored! Oh yea! Do you want to eat some manju (sweet bun)?

19. I got it from next door, and I normally don t eat sweets..

20. Do you want to eat it? I m going to put it away if you don t want it

23. You are so impatient Stop pestering me. You should take time and enjoy your food.

37. Ch-san tries to tap out the tobacco but is too slow.

38. Youre so frustrating to watch! You don t just let the tobacco sit in the pipe for that long, pack once and then inhale once!

39. Cant you smoke it like this?! Sometimes I m in such a hurry that I tap the tobacco out before lighting it!

40. Tanshichi... youre so impatient... you don t like... to take advice from other people...do you?

41. Yea, thats my weak side. Now that you mention it, I don t like to take advice from anyone.
